Megasite Management Guideline

Im Rahmen des Forschungsprogramms "SAFIRA II" des Helmholtz-Zentrums für Umweltforschung - UFZ wurde ein Entscheidungsunterstützungssystem für die Wiedernutzung und Inwertsetzung von großflächigen und vornutzungsbedingt belasteten Brachflächen, sogenannten Megasites, entwickelt: die Megasite Management Toolsuite (MMT).

Mit der Megasite Management Guideline wurde eine Handlungsleitfaden vorgelegt, der die wesentlichen Herausforderungen, die Bearbeitungsphasen und die Notwendigkeit einer typischen regionalen Einbettung einer effizienten und nachhaltigen Megasite-Revitalisierung aufzeigt. Es wird ein Überblick zu spezifischen Zielstellungen und Bewertungsfragen gegeben, die bei einer Revitalisierung zu bewältigen sind. Es wird gezeigt, wie diese mit Unterstützung durch die Megasite Management Toolsuite (MMT) erreicht werden können.

Die Guideline erläutert den Ablauf einer Megasite-Revitalisierung, beginnend mit einer Nutzungsidee über die Entwicklung und Bewertung von Szenarien und Layouts bis hin zur Erarbeitung konkreter Nutzungsoptionen. Es wird demonstriert, in welchen Bearbeitungsschritten die MMT eingesetzt werden kann und beschrieben, welche Ergebnisse man durch den Einsatz erhält.
