The Silesian Industrial and Technological Park was founded by virtue of agreement concluded on 17th of July 2003 among different stakeholders: the City of Ruda Śląska, the City of Świętochłowice, Inwestor Sp. z o.o. The project was executed with the cooperation of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. The project has also support by Marshall of Silesian Province, Agency of Industry Development, Ministry of Economy and Labour.

Main purposes of the activity: obtaining external investors, development of post- industrial areas, economic and social revitalization of degraded industrial districts, creating new workplaces, development and modernization of infrastructure already located on restructured areas.
