Brief description of site and current use
The museum of transport was opened in June 1999 as a branch of the Slovak Technical Museum in Košice. It is situated in a storehouse and a railway store near the Bratislava Steam Railway Station. The museum shows exhibits collected for 70 years, showing machineries, history and development of road and railway transport.
The museum is situated in a building after the Management of the Slovak Railway Police between Predstaničné namestie and Prazska street. The entrance is from a bridge for pedestrians over Sancova street or from the corner of Sancova street and Prazska street.
