Brief description of site and current use

It is expected, that Kaprálův Mlýn was built in beginning of 18th century. But the owners are known from the end of it.

In 1939, the mill was bought by Zdena Kaprálová. They wanted to find a calm place to live and they modernized it by that age.

In 1945 the Red army stayed right in the Kaprálův mlýn. Kapral's moved to India and finally to the USA.

In 1949 the property was nationalized and in 1984 completely closed due to bad technical conditions of building structures. In 1993 it was given back to miss Kaprálová and she rented it to scouts. It became a place with whole year use and it was also rebuilt by voluntary work and money. In 2007 Kaprálův mlýn was given to scouts by daughters of Zdena. Project of the reconstruction had a vision to be created an ecological center with educational use.
