Brief description of site and current use
Polyfunctional complex Eurovea was constructed on the place where was in the past Apollo refinery. The refinery was bombed in 1944 and the industrial production was finished already in 1963. However, the area was heavily contaminated by previous industrial activities. The project has been opened since 26 March 2010. Eurovea offers many new stores and leisure time facilities. The project covers also offices, apartments, and a hotel. Almost two thirds of the Eurovea area is covered by greenery and public areas. Eurovea includes Eurovea Galleria shopping mall with 60,000 m².
